Developed in collaboration with a professional psychologist, this Japanese horror game explores themes of anxiety and depression, offering a unique narrative that resonates with modern-day societal issues. The game is set to release on PS5 later this year, expanding its haunting allure to console gamers.
Set within the confines of a cramped Tokyo apartment, BrokenLore: DON'T WATCH follows Shinji, a young man embodying the hikikomori phenomenon—a severe form of social withdrawal. The game throws players into Shinji's claustrophobic world as they navigate the psychological turmoil of living in isolation. The developers, Serafini Productions and Shochiku, masterfully use this setting to heighten the tension and create an atmosphere that is both unsettling and immersive.
