The Hardest Card Game Strategies for Online Casino Pros

Today, you can find hundreds of computer-generated and live dealer classic card games from numerous market-leading software providers. They are hosted on fully licensed and regulated websites that are legally permitted to offer this type of digital content.

Although winning and losing boils down to luck, there are a few strategies that can be used to improve your chances of winning. Some of these strategies are easier to master than others, and many of them can be applied to almost anything you play.

I’ve tried them all, and some of them have worked for me on several occasions.

On this page, I will be discussing some of the hardest strategies that even then seasoned pros often struggle with.

I will also reveal the name of one of my favourite websites that has helped me grasp some of the basic strategies, which I think everyone should be aware of, regardless of their experience level.

Which card strategy is considered the most difficult to learn?

As I already mentioned, winning at blackjack, baccarat, poker, and all the card games found on this list of casino card games commonly found on today’s best real money gambling sites is a matter of luck.

However, with that in mind, there are some proven strategies that work for certain types of card variants, and when used correctly at the right time, they can give you an edge over the house.

I’ve talked to many people who consider themselves seasoned pros at blackjack, and many of them have said that the most challenging strategy to learn is the advanced blackjack strategy, which can take years to truly master.

Which effective strategies should everyone learn before playing in the real money mode?

In all my years of playing blackjack, roulette, poker, and other similar content on my favourite sites, I’ve picked up several effective strategies that work for me most of the time. I have found that I lose fewer hands when using them, but I’m also fully aware that I’m still never guaranteed to win using them.

Some of these strategies I’m about to reveal are often overlooked but are important nonetheless.

They are less about what you should do in certain situations and more about bankroll management, how to bet, responsible gambling, and understanding the rules and odds/implied probability rates of certain outcomes occurring.

These reliable strategies are relatively easy to learn, and when using them, I’ve found that my bankroll stretches further.

They give me more time to play my favourite content, and I get to play in a safe environment on a trustworthy site that won’t disappoint me.

Examples of some effective strategies you should try to remember are the following:

  • Learn the rules before playing anything. I find that most rules don’t take long to learn and are usually available to read when you launch any blackjack, roulette, craps, poker or baccarat variant

  • Start by playing in the practice/free-play demo mode until you have familiarised yourself with the rules, or at least start by placing small stakes. Most computer-generated content is accessible in the free-play mode, unlike live dealer content, which can only be accessed in the real money mode. Before I play live dealer titles, I always practice playing a similar computer-generated version using fun chips, and I always check my stake before starting just to see if it’s set to an amount that I’m comfortable with

  • When playing blackjack, for example, learn basic blackjack strategy. It will teach you which moves you should make in certain situations to give you the best chance of winning that hand

  • Look for titles with high or above average RTP% (return to player) percentage payout rates and avoid playing them with low RTP% payout rates. It doesn’t guarantee you will win, but mathematically speaking, your chances of winning are greater when playing content with higher payout rates. I tend to look for them with a 95.00% RTP payout rate or higher

  • Gamble responsibly at all times. This means using any safer gambling tools your chosen site may have available and never playing while tired or intoxicated. I always set a reasonable budget before playing, and where possible, I also like to set win/loss limits, spending caps, session time reminders, and deposit limits

  • Be careful when deciding where to play. Only play on highly recommended websites controlled by reputable operators. I always trust the casino card games on sites that have been reviewed on the official AskGamblers website, which covers  because their dedicated team of researchers only recommend trustworthy sites with versions of poker and blackjack from the best software developers

Remembering some of these simple and effective strategies will lead to a safer and more enjoyable time each time you want to go online from your preferred device to play your favourite computer-generated or live dealer content.

Final note

One of the other important strategies that many people overlook is to avoid chasing your losses by immediately placing huge wagers to try and recoup any losses you may have incurred. Chasing your losses in this way may result in losing even more money.

The easiest way to avoid this is to set limits. When logged into your account, go to the ‘safer gambling tools’ section or contact the toll-free player support and ask them to point you in the right direction.

You can manually set limits to correspond with your bankroll, and then, if you reach those limits, a notification will appear on the screen saying that you have reached them. You would then have to wait until that timer you set has ended before you could deposit or play again, depending on which limits you set.
